Chin Reshaping

A weak chin has an immense effect on your other facial features. Your nose looks larger and your lower lip seems droopy.

A receding chin also affects your facial expression by conveying a weak look.

The most common way to augment a weak or small chin is surgically through a small incision which is made beneath the chin. A synthetic implant, like a sponge, is then introduced inside the chin to enlarge it. This implant is sized and customized to the patients face. The scar from the incision is not usually noticeable as it is on the underside of the chin and is placed within a naturally occurring facial line.

The other option is non-surgical using an injectable filler which is completely customizable and allows the patient the opportunity to view their look without a permanent commitment. They may then decide to proceed with a permanent augmentation either surgically or by an injectable long term filler.

Infection of the implant is possible but uncommon. Some numbness of the lips may be experienced for a few days to a few weeks after surgery.
